When we first got home yesterday, we laid her on her stomach on the floor. She started to cry because she couldn’t crawl or propel herself forward. Her legs have not been used at all, so she needs to relearn these skills and gain leg strength again. It was hard to see her sad about it, but we knew she’d get there.
This morning, she had taught herself to army crawl and sit up with the assistance of her hands to further stabilize her. By the end of the day, she was pretending to fall over and catching herself while sitting up. This was definitely working those abs. She tried to grab her walker and was able to pull up to her knees. She was getting the hang of everything and was so proud of herself every time she accomplished something new. This is all very exciting!
