About 6 days post-surgery, we went to get a CT scan. We only had experience with the CT scan, so we were anticipating it to be very similar. They told us that DD (Dear Daughter) needed a CT scan over an MRI since the metal pins in her bones could interfere with imaging. We expected them to give her Versed, but instead, they said she didn’t need anything, and the CT scan would only last a minute or two. We tried our best to entertain her while the CT scan started. This is where my husband is a natural. He’s great at coming up with ways to be silly and entertain her in the most random places with the most random available objects. Thank goodness for him! DD still didn’t care for this, but she did well, all things considered.
It took several hours to get the results back this time. Fortunately, everything looked good and was in place! Now we just needed to continue to stay Spica Strong and let her body do its thing and heal.
5 weeks and 2 days left…
