We’ve been having so much fun trying new things and rediscovering activities we used to enjoy! First and foremost, we have been loving bathtime again! We started by using the Bumbo to hold her up, and we went light on the amount of water in the tub. Now that she can sit in the tub unassisted, we've been giving her lots of baths because she keeps asking for them! This little one will stay in the bath until the water gets cold. Even then, we have to drain the water, and it has to be completely gone before she’ll get out.
We also played with our foldable play tent with a ball pit and tunnels. DD (Dear Daughter) and her brother had the best time together, entertaining one another. The dog loves the foldable tent and tunnels too, so she joined in the fun for quite a while as well. Much like us, our 6-year-old son has been having so much fun watching DD do new things and making new discoveries. He pushes her too because if the big brother can do it, and he encourages her, she wants to try! He’s been very good about not helping her with new tasks and movements. We don’t want her to attempt something she can't and shouldn't do with her body yet if we were to “help,” and we want her to learn at her own pace.
We also took her to a pool to swim. She was very excited about this. It was so much fun and so new that she didn’t care if you were just holding her in the deep water, playing with toys or the water features at this pool, or just sitting in shallow water. She was excited and in awe all the same!
